Galaxy Pegasus

Galaxy Pegasus W105R2F (Japanese: ギャラクシーペガシス W105R2F Galaxy Pegasis W105R2F) is an Attack-Type Beyblade that appears in the anime and manga series, Beyblade: Metal Masters. Galaxy Pegasus is the successor to Storm Pegasus 105RF and has evolved into next form, Big Bang Pegasus F:D. It was released on April 1, 2010 as a starter in Japan and the Spring of 2011 worldwide. It is the third Pegasis in the Pegasis Timeline, coming after Pegasis 105F and Storm Pegasis 105RF.
Galaxy Pegasus was known as "The Legendary Bey", as it was one of the the prototypes of its predecessor Storm Pegasus 105RF and was the basis for it as well. However, it was sealed away, due to its uncontrollable power. Gingka would then obtain Galaxy Pegasus through a rock as Pegasus knew Gingka was the only Blader worthy of owning it. Gingka would use Galaxy Pegasus throughout the "Beyblade World Championship" and was eventually crowned the "Number 1 Blader in the World". However in Metal Fury, Galaxy Pegasus would then be hit by a piece of the Star Fragment while being serviced by Madoka and would evolve to become the more powerful, Big Bang Pegasus F:D.

Face Bolt: Pegasus II

The Face Bolt depicts Pegasus, the magical winged horse that soared into the heavens for the Greek god, Zeus. Pegasus is one of the 88 constellations in space. The design is the exact same as the Storm Pegasus motif, but has a few modifications. Firstly, the head of Pegasus has lost its colour; now being outlined in a sky blue, while the characters "P" and "S" near Pegasus' face are also a sky blue and have thin gaps cutting around at each other. The whole Pegasus motif is printed onto a translucent Face Bolt.

Energy Ring: Pegasus II

  • Weight: 3.1 grams
Pegasus II, the successor to the original Pegasus Energy Ring, retains the designs of a Pegasus' wings and head opposite of one another. However, the wings appear much larger and detailed, and feature the letters, "PEGI", short for Pegasus; it was also made in such a way of which, when their "eye" stickers are applied, the eye glimpses in between Pegasus' wings, coloured in a light red; but they are blurry and can be visible if one were to squint their eyes. Pegasus II is also more circular than Pegasus and has four tiny gaps caused by Pegasus' wings and heads.
Pegasus II weighs 3.1 grams, making it one of the few Energy Rings to pass the 3 gram mark. Although Bull, Aquario, and Kerbecs are much heavier, Pegasus II can remain a suitable substitute for Defense-Type customizations, if the aforementioned Energy Rings are not available.

Fusion Wheel: Galaxy

  • Weight: 29.4 grams
Galaxy is painted a metallic dark blue and much like its predecessor, Storm, it is designed as the wings of a Pegasus. Galaxy has three curved wings in a left-ward movement; each wing is separated into four "sub-wings" which gently curve up and have a small gap between each normal wing. Each of these wings have the distinct appearance of Pegasus' wings and because of how it is designed, it resembles Pegasis and Cyber. Galaxy also contains red and black decals, placed on the underside of Galaxy's wings.
On Galaxy's underside, the wings are hollow and due to this, it gives Galaxy its light weight, 29.4 grams. Galaxy's wings also curve into its gaps as well, covering its main Smash Attack points. Due to this, it gives Galaxy a disadvantage in its potential of performance. Its light weight combined with its covered Smash Attack points completely destroy any potential of Galaxy having any form of Attack or any competitive use whatsoever. Due to this, Galaxy is in no way, a good Fusion Wheel for Attack and thus, is overshadowed by many other different Fusion Wheels; with Variares and Blitz being the current best for Attack-Types.
Just like other painted Fusion Wheels, Galaxy's will eventually chip off during battles and will result into a dull grey color, however, the paint on Hasbro's Galaxy seems to last longer (along with Hades) than others of Hasbro's Metal Fusion painted parts. One thing to note, is that despite Galaxy's bad performance, it can escape Penalty Pockets from Hasbro Beystadiums through the use of Performance Tips such as R2F and XF, much like Lightning.

Spin Track: Wing 105 (W105)

  • Weight: 1.2 grams
Wing 105 (W105) is a variant of 105 with "wings" resembling fins, at its sides; replacing 105's handle-bar protrusions. The wings were meant to push air upwards similar to DF145, in order to provide additional Stamina to the Bey. However, the effect is barely noticeable and performs just like an average 105. It also weighs, (very slightly) more than 105, providing slightly better defense.
105 can be used for Attack-Types if the Spin Tracks, 100, 90, or 85 are not available. Although other Spin Tracks like CH120, S130, and even D125 are generally considered better for use in disregard to W105.

Performance Tip: Right Rubber Flat (R2F/R²F)

  • Weight: 0.8 grams
Right Rubber Flat (R2F/R²F) is an upgraded version of Rubber Flat (RF). While retaining the same basic appearance, the Performance Tip, instead of being flat, features six curves going in a right-ward motion, giving it a star-like shape. This provides the Beyblade with fast and much more aggressive movement and speeds than that of RF. This is due to the added friction that is created as a result.
However there is a downside, despite its fast movement, it has low Stamina, even lower than that of RF. As when first used, R2F will be too fast and hard to control, so it is recommended that a Blader wears it down with a few practice battles for it to become more controllable. It will reach that state when the star-like design begins to disappear.
As with all rubber-based Tips, it will wear out, the performance will as well, so it's good to have multiple R2F's. Nevertheless, Right Rubber Flat is a top-tier Performance Tip for Attack-Type customs, due to its fast and aggressive speed, as it is a must-have for Bladers who mainly use Attack-Types.

Mold Variations

Hasbro's R2F does not have a red bar when looked inside of it, but has a sort of half bar. This bar is used to help keep the Beyblade from wobbling and due to this, the Hasbro R2F appears to be loose. Takara Tomy and SonoKong's R2Fs include the bar though.

Flame Byxis

Flame Byxis 230WD is a Balance-Type Beyblade that appears in the anime and manga series, Beyblade: Metal Masters. Its owner is Zeo Abyss. It's a part of the Maximum Series because of the height of its Spin Track 230, the tallest spin track so far.

Face Bolt: Byxis

Facebolt BYXIS BB95 36496.png
The Face Bolt depicts "Byxis", one of the 88 constellations. Byxis is Latin for a "mariner's compass", which Flame Byxis is based on. The design features a compass with large visible eyes, which are tattooed onto a translucent red Face Bolt.

Energy Ring: Byxis

Clearwheel byxis.jpg
  • Weight: 2.7 grams
The Energy Ring Byxis is a light aqua with the design of a compass. It has the North, South, East, and West symbols on their respective sides. There is somewhat of a compass rose in the middle, pointing outwards from the Face Bolt. Due to it's shape, it has found great use in Wheels like Vulcan, in order to expose their Smash Attack points. It is blue.

Fusion Wheel: Flame

  • Weight: 32.5 grams
Flame is a circular Fusion Wheel with two thin gaps and two others with a small spike. It has a spike-like design with gaps and the word "BEYBLADE" appearing on two sides. Because Flame's raised slopes, it makes the Spin Track more visible and thus, reduces some of Byxis's Defense capabilities. Despite this, it has great destabilization properties. It also supplies the beyblade because it is harder to hit. The spikes on this Fusion Wheel allows Byxis to push away from an opponent, increasing its offensive capabilities.
Attack: 1 - Defense: 2 - Stamina: 4

Spin Track: 230

  • Weight: 4.1 grams
The Spin Track is what makes Byxis so exclusive. 230 is a remarkably tall Spin Track, and is a bright red color. It is quite thick, in that is lines down, in order to protect itself from Beys designed to hit the Spin Track. Due to this, it provides great Defense from low attacking Beys, for example, Mercury Anubis as it tips over and hits small attackers. It is also currently the highest Track. Because its the highest Track, it has made a large impact on the metagame. Before Byxis' release, small and low Beyblades dominated competitive play, but the 230 Spin Track is not greatly affected by shorter Beyblades at all. So, for example, a bey like Mercury Anubis with an 85 spin track would hardly affect Flame Byxis.
Higher Tracks such as 130 or higher are recommended for battle against 230. 230's only downfall, is being attacked by Beys with high tracks that spin to the left, such as L-Drago. Triple Height 170 outclasses 230 due to it's ability to change height from 170, to 195, and to 220. Unless you want to make it smash from above. The sharp series of Performance Tips should never be used with 230 due to height and unbalance. It is a great spin track nevertheless, and very useful for Defense. Contrary to the looks of this Beyblade, it will not get "thrown" around the stadium when hit from underneath, instead, if the attack is successful, Byxis will destabilize itself and begin to tip. This track was also released in a few colors, The original, pink, and then red. Duo Uranus has a gold 230, Flash Sagittario has a clear-tan 230. A black version was released in the Phantom Orion extra bottom(s) set.
Use in Defense customization: Even though TH170 outclasses 230 at Defense and Stamina Terms 230 can still be used in a Defense customization MF-H Basalt Bull/Kerbecs/Aquario 230CS

Performance Tip: Wide Defense

  • Weight: 0.7 grams
Wide Defense, as its name implies, is the widest of the “Defense” series of Performance Tips (D, SD, WD, EWD and PD). It's width provides many advantages, but also some disadvantages too. Wide Defense has arguably been called the "best Stamina Performance Tip available if used in the right combination". Unlike many other tips, Wide Defense has a lot of Stamina. Aside from all of this, Wide Defense can also have good balance. This tip can be sometimes used to beat Attack types by using a weak shot. It is a bright red in color.

Trivia

  • Putting 230 and WD together makes this Beyblade charge at random around the field at low speed, making 230 and WD together a Balance-Type.
  • The Hasbro release of Flame Byxis, has the Face Bolt 230 Spin Track, and WD colored red, instead of a pink color like the Takara Tomy version and the Energy Ring a turquoise color.
  • Flame Byxis is the only Maximum Series Beyblade that kept its original Japanese name.
  • Flame Byxis can jump if it got hit roughly by an opponent Bey due to its 230 track.
  • Unlike most printed face bolts, the Hasbro release of the red Byxis Face is quite unappealing to most people. Due to this, most bladers put the face sticker on their clear face bolt or another red face bolt, and use that instead.
  • Flame Byxis is the first Beyblade to have the 230WD combo, with Duo Uranus being the second. Flash Sagittario is the third.
  • Its Special Move, Destiny Needle, looks like its Clear Wheel.
  • Flame Byxis' Fusion Wheel in the Anime is said to have weights in it that help centrifugal force, but it did not have weights in it when released.
  • The 230 and WD combo in a beyblade is usualy considered a Stamina-type bey, but the Flame Wheel changes this.
